Important Coronavirus Information

We have put this page together to give you a little more information about steps we are putting in place due to COVID-19. Please read through this carefully and let us know should you have any questions. All the below steps will help us ensure you have a safe and enjoyable stay.

COVID-19 symptoms

A High temperature.

A new continuous cough.

Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.

If you are due to stay with us in the next two weeks and develop any of the above symptoms, you should let us know straight away, cancel your stay and follow government guidelines regarding self-isolating.

The government is asking those in Tier 3/Very High Alert to “avoid travelling outside your area, including for overnight stays” (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/tier-3-very-high-alert?priority-taxon=774cee22-d896-44c1-a611-e3109cce8eae#travel) we ask that you respect this.

What should you do if you develop symptoms during your stay?

If you develop COVID-19 symptoms during your stay with us, we request you inform us immediately. This is for your own safety as well as that of our other guests and the cleaning team.

What will happen next?

We will follow the following guidelines:

If a guest is displaying signs of the Covid-19 virus while staying, they should inform the accommodation provider, immediately self-isolate where they are to minimise any risk of transmission, and request a test. If they are confirmed to have Covid-19, they should return home if they reasonably can. They should use private transport but only drive themselves if they can do so safely. If a guest cannot reasonably return home (for example because they are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), their circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority. Guests should follow government guidance on dealing with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Once the guest has returned to their main residence, they should continue to follow the government guidance on self-isolation, household isolation and social distancing. This will apply to all guests that were present in the room. If the guest shows acute symptoms has breathing difficulties or their life is at potential risk, seek medical help immediately.

Social distancing

During your stay with us, you are required to maintain social distancing. Please do not visit other apartments on site, instead use outdoor areas to socialise (maintaining a 2-meter distance). If you have dogs with you, please ensure they remain on the lead in communal areas such as the car park, drive and picnic area. You may still exercise dogs off lead in the dog exercise area and surrounding fields.

What we have done for you?

We have conducted a risk assessment, which you can view on our web site on the COVID-19 page. We contract a cleaning and linen company who have both conducted their own risk assessments and are implementing safe practice in accordance with government guidelines.

The cleaning team will be spending longer in each apartment to ensure all surfaces are disinfected.

For guests staying in Whiteside and the benefit of all guests, we have built a new Laundry, drying and dog wash room with its own access. This is located to the left of Dollywaggon at the end of the buildings. There is no longer access through the door next to Whiteside, this will be for the cleaning team only.

We have provided disposable cloths and disinfectant in each apartment. We have also provided hand sanitiser.

We will be cleaning cutlery and crockery after each stay. You may have noticed we have reduced the numbers provided. This is to ensure we have time to get it all cleaned and sits in line with the government guidelines.

What you can do for us?

We have just a few things to ask of you. Whilst we are still happy to chat from a distance, we would ask that you don’t come to the door and knock. Please do call us on 017687 72378 or on Heather’s mobile 07979857190. Feel free to drop me a WhatsApp or Facebook message, if you want to let me know you have arrived, are leaving, or have any questions.

Please follow the information on the check-out card. This will really help to protect the cleaning team and ensure they have plenty of time to get the apartment ready for the next guests.

Before leaving the premises please ensure that you have:

  • Taken your rubbish (including the kitchen sponge and cloth) out the bins at the front by the picnic area.
  • Stripped your bedding and towels and leave them wrapped in the sheet on the floor.
  • Left used dog towels and throws bundled on the door matt on the floor
