Before you Travel/Arrive:

What is the latest Government Advice on Travel within the UK

The government are not currently advising against any travel within the UK. As and when the UK government updates their policy, the information will be available by visiting the government website and NHS online.

However; due to a large number of people flocking to the fresh air of the Lake District the Cumbrian Constabulary are urging tourists to stay at indoors.

“The health, social care and emergency services in Cumbria are resourced to serve the 500,000 resident population and will be stretched to breaking point by this crisis.

Large numbers of visitors will only place an additional burden on these hard-pushed professionals.”

– Chief Constable Andrew Slattery, Cumbria Police
What if I am over 70?

We are following government advice on age and travel restrictions, if you are over the age of 70 then you will be able to amend your holiday with us.

Are the Apartments cleaned?

The apartments are thoroughly cleaned after every stay.  We try where possible to follow the NHS guidelines on how to prevent the spread of germs https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/how-to-prevent-germs-from-spreading/.

In light of the current situation we are taking extra care and consideration. This includes being more vigilant to cleaning door handles and banisters etc. and using disposable cleaning wipes and sponges in place of reusable ones.

Ammending Your Booking:

Can I reschedule my booking?

If you are either unwell or over 70 and wish to reschedule your booking then we are happy to ammend it free of charge for a period later this year.

As the whole situation is changing so rapidly we recommend waiting till closer to your holiday before rescheduling. At such a stressful time, even a short stay with no social interaction and plenty of fresh air could be a welcome mood booster.

Can I cancel my holiday?

If you need to cancel your holiday; we ask that you first look at your travel insurance. Many credit cards and even house insurance policies cover travel as well. As a small family business, this would really just help us out!

Alternatively can we suggest rebooking for later this year?

Is there anything I can do while I'm here?
